The title of this presentation is "Re-Describing Earliest Christianity as a Religion of Independent Specialists." Heidi Wendt is a Ph.D. candidate in Religious Studies at Brown University with specialties in Roman religion and earliest Christianity. She is working on a dissertation that assembles evidence for entrepreneurial religion
at Rome in the early imperial period. In this lecture, she will place Paul and his epistles in the context of entrepreneurial religion with a view to broader patterns of independent specialist activity.
