"Challenges Faced by North Koreans Today"

Skutt Student Center, Room 104

Thursday, March 6, 2014 @ 2:00 pm

Liberty in North Korea (LiNK) is a grassroots organization devoted to the North Korean human rights crises. It provides protection and aid to North Korean refugees and utilizes a modern-day underground railroad through Southeast Asia to rescue refugees and help them reach freedom. Three LiNK representatives will give an interactive, multi-media presentation covering four main points:

1. The history of North Korea presented in four minutes.
2. The current challenges the North Korean people face under their brutal regime.
3. How the North Korean people are overcoming those challenges.
4. How we can help the North Korean people now.

Attendees will leave the event knowing how they can make a difference in one of the most ignored issues in our world today.

This event is sponsored by the Asian World Center of the College of Arts & Sciences and is free and open to the public.
