Keynote Address: Undocumented: How Immigration Became Illegal
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Aviva “Avi” Chomsky
Avi Chomsky is Professor of History and Coordinator of Latin American, Latino, and Caribbean Studies at Salem State University, in Massachusetts. She is the author of They Take Our Jobs! And Twenty Other Myths about Immigration (Beacon Press, 2007) and Undocumented: How Immigration Became Illegal (Beacon Press, 2014).

Shane Ellison, Director, Immigrant and Refugee Clinic, Creighton School of Law

Johanna Williams has been the Director of Education and Advocacy at the Kino Border Initiative (KBI) in Nogales, Arizona and Sonora for three and a half years. She is a graduate from Georgetown University and, prior to her current position, has journeyed with immigrants in a variety of contexts. She has volunteered at a shelter in Tierra Blanca, Veracruz, conducted Fulbright research on the reintegration of deported and return migrants, and worked as a project coordinator for the American Civil Liberties Union's Border Litigation Project.
