Do you dread essay due dates? Do you find yourself procrastinating grading essays? In this workshop, you’ll learn about creating assignments that go beyond summary or “information dump.” You’ll learn how to assign writing that reflects how professionals in your field actually write and think, uses higher-order thinking skills like argument and analysis, and discourages plagiarism. Most importantly, we’ll talk about how to create assignments that are personally meaningful to students and fun and engaging for instructors to read.
