In this Ignatian “cannonball” year, Jesuit universities are required to engage in the four Universal Apostolic Preferences (UAPs). One of the UAPs is to “Accompany young people in the creation of a hope-filled future.” Although Jesuit institutions have successfully accompanied youth for centuries in their educational apostolates, the 21st Century presents new opportunities. It has ushered in an age of eruptive technologies, and students expect the technologies to be utilized in all of our classrooms. These sessions will focus on compatible disciplines (such as philosophy and theology) to present what is currently being done to enhance student learning using technology in the classroom, and what you might be able to do in your classroom. Brian Kokensparger, TLC Associate, will team up with RADLab design and imaging professionals to facilitate an overview of current innovations inside and outside Creighton and lead a brainstorming session focused on what innovations might work in Creighton classrooms.
