The pandemic forced faculty to make use of instructional videos on an unprecedented scale. By necessity, many of these videos were hastily made with little opportunity for optimization. Nonetheless, many of us found them to be quite helpful for our courses. For those interested continuing to incorporate instructional videos in their courses, this program will discuss best practices in the design of instructional videos to maximize their effectiveness for students, and tips for faculty to minimize the time, technical, and budgetary barriers to creating high-impact videos.
