Technology has the power to bring students together, yet, it can also isolate students. In an online-learning context, this reality calls for special consideration because students learn best in settings that prioritize community and relationships. With attention to Ignatian charisms, this interactive session will provide participants an opportunity to examine practical approaches to promoting student engagement and relationship-building in the online learning setting. Focusing on best practices for discussion boards, synchronous Zoom meetings, and online collaboration tools, participants will share experiences and add to their repertoire of instructional tools to keep students engaged and thriving in a robust online learning community.
