Faculty, graduate students, post-docs, research staff interested in changing or re-starting their research focus are invited to this program focusing on re-igniting/changing your research trajectory.

• Participants will be able to identify challenges with their current research focus and develop some action points for how they could change or improve their research activities.
• For Organizers: We will obtain ideas for specific needs that participants have regarding support for restarting research activity or changing research foci.

Pre-Assignment: Participants will be asked to complete a survey that asks them why they want to change or re-ignite their research trajectory. They may be asked to supply three words about the process of changing research directions to form a word cloud at the beginning of the workshop to facilitate discussion.

• Participants will identify the problems/challenges that have led them to this point in their research career
• Participants will break out into groups according to interest. Potential interest areas include:
o Incorporating undergraduates into your research program
o Changing research areas within your discipline
o Interdisciplinary research
• Participants will develop action items to help them develop a plan to come up with an effective strategy to improve their research program

Facilitators: Carol Fassbinder-Orth, PhD, Katherine Liu, PhD, and Matt Reznicek, PhD in collaboration with other Creighton faculty colleagues
