Join Julie Peterson, PT, DPT, EdD, Associate Professor of Physical Therapy, School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, and Patricia Soto-Becerra, PhD, Associate Professor of Physics, College of Arts and Sciences, the 2024 Distinguished Educator Award winners, as they share their insights and stories about their careers. Each is recognized for their active and consistent contributions to teaching, innovative practices, and assessment of student learning.  Dialogue with colleagues on current practices and address such questions as: 


Introduce yourself and summarize your work as an educator, including your scholarship related to teaching.

Tell us one or two stories of your experience as a teacher that has stayed with you.  

How have your students directly and indirectly influenced your teaching as scholarship; in other words, what and how have your students “taught” you? 

What lessons have you learned on your journey of engaging in teaching as scholarship and building a body of work in this area?
