Participants in this learning session will be able to discern the benefits of using hyflex learning strategies in course instruction. Hyflex learning allows the instructor to engage the student using multiple learning modes and gives the student the opportunity to choose the format of their instruction. These strategies increase the accessibility of courses and have the potential to improve student engagement and participation in courses if used effectively. Participants will be provided the opportunity to evaluate hyflex learning strategies in comparison with hybrid and traditional teaching methodologies and apply hyflex learning strategies to a current class or course.
By the end of the program, participants will be able to:
• Identify the advantages and disadvantages of traditional, hybrid and hyflex learning.
• Apply one aspect of hyflex learning to a current or upcoming course
